Tehran, YJC. IAEA Director General is to visit Tehran on Monday as invited by the Islamic Republic.
Reza Najafi who leads Iran’s team in negotiations with the International
Atomic Energy Agency said "As the IAEA has announced, Yukiya Amano has accepted
an invitation from the Islamic Republic of Iran to visit the country and he
will therefore be heading Tehran on Monday morning,” Mehr News Agency reports.
He added "The IAEA Director General will meet Iranian officials
in Tehran, which will be the start of a new chapter of cooperation and a sort
of strengthening the bonds between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the
International Atomic Energy Agency in order to meet collateral concerns.”
He provided comments on the session on Monday and said "Following
the sessions by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic
Energy Agency held on September 25 and then on October 27 and 28 in Vienna; as
well as the Foreign Ministry Deputy in Legal and International Affairs Mr.
Araqchi’s meeting with Mr. Amano, the two sides considered collateral concerns
with regard to the content.”
"The Islamic Republic of Iran offered a new initiative which
includes practical measures. It was studied by both sides and it is expected to
be agreed upon at the November 11 session in Tehran,” the head of Iran’s
negotiation team stated.
