Tehran, YJC. -- Iran Mercantile Exchange hosted a delegation of the high ranking officials from capital market of Oman.
The delegation comprised Dr. Salim Al Salmi head of the Capital Market Authority of Oman and Mr. Ahmed Al Qassabi, paid a visit to the trading floor of IME and discussed about different exchange market issues with officials of the exchange according to the report by IME international affairs and PR, during the joint session between the CMA and IME

Officials various issues were discussed on exchange operations and market supervision.
At the beginning of the session the delegation was provided with a presentation on different aspects of the IME operations and functionalities including establishment history, listed products, clearing house, settlement and delivery, export trading ring of IME, market surveillance, rules and regulations governing the exchange market, collateral management, and the role and status of IME in the national economy.

The Omani delegation for its turn, asked questions on, commodity groups, licensing of brokers, market surveillance collateral management, compliance and disclosure of information which were replied accordingly.

During the session, IME officials provided a report on the membership status of IME in international capital market organizations and referred to the measures taken for membership of IME to the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS).
