Tehran, YJC. Larijani says Iran’s ill regards of the US are no sentimentalism, but resistance against oppression.
The Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said "It is not a
sentimental show that on November 4 people express hatred toward the US. It is
not stubbornness either. They want to tell the world that we are sensitive
toward the oppressor and consider it a duty to defend the oppressed.”
Speaking with YJC, he said "Thinking deep is one of the
important things in studying the past history. We do not intend to recite
requiems on the past, but rather such an understanding gives us a better view
of the world today.”
He also stated "the arrogance opposes Iran and China because
they stand by themselves. Iran and China’s independence has made them speak in
opposition and make unfair judgments toward these countries.”
Providing comments on the anniversary of the siege of the US
Embassy, Larijani said "Celebrating such a day is highly important to the Iranian
nation as the basis of the Islamic Revolution.”
