Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Culture Minister and Syria’s Minister of Awqaf have agreed to launch an anti-Wahhabist TV channel.
Syria’s
Minister of Awqaf (religious endowments) Mohammed Abdul Sattar met with Iran’s
Minister of Culture Ali Jannati on Saturday noon in Tehran.
He provided
comments that Iran and Syria are going to launch an anti-Wahhabist TV channel,
adding "The goal for doing so is for the channel to replace those that
propagate Wahhabist ideas. On that ground, we are looking for the proximity of Islamic
schools of thought.”
