TEHRAN, July 07 - The 15th edition of a Quran contest for children and teenagers in Hamburg was held in the German city this week.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The Muslims Council of Hamburg organized the contest at Yildiz Mosque, according to the Islamic Centre Hamburg.
The contenders were from various nationalities and followers of different Islamic Schools of Thought.
The participants competed in memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran and the winners were selected based on their collective scores in both categories.
The competition is annually held for children and teenagers aged 10 to 13 and 14 to 17.
Representatives of the Islamic Centre Hamburg won several ranks in the two age groups.
