Tehran, YJC. Sheikholeslam says Iran faces four sets of sanctions, Obama having the authority to lift only one.
Hossein Sheikholeslam, Consultant to the Majlis Speaker in International Affairs, in interview with Mehr News Agency said "Of the four sanctions by the US government, US Congress, European Union, and Security Council, Obama can only lift the government’s sanctions.”
He added "The US has not changed at all. It is the same criminal as before. Things will be different only if the US would say ‘my bad, that is not my nature, that is not my financial structure,’ and if it abandons its oppressive behavior.”
He further maintained that this year’s November 4 must be held as previous years, adding "They did not grant us anything on the talks. They did not change, so how are we to change? Of the four sanctions by the US government, US Congress, European Union, and Security Council Obama is able only to live the government’s sanctions. The Congressional sanctions are impossible to be lifted because that will need legislative work, unless the government postpones their implementation.”
