TEHRAN, July 01 - Iran’s OPEC Governor, Hossein Kazempour-Ardebili said Saudi Arabia’s accepting oil output rise means its withdrawal from the OPEC.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Saudi is not capable of increasing output by 2 million barrels per day and this demand means an order to Saudi Arabia to quit the oil cartel.”
He made the remarks after a new tweet by US President Donald Trump asking Saudi King Salman to increase oil output by 2 million barrels a day. The request was accepted by Saudi Arabia.
The Iranian official noted Saudi Arabia is not capable of increasing output by 2 million barrels per day and in case Saudi accepts Trump’s order, it means Riyadh withdrawal from the OPEC.
