An economic delegation comprising the head of the commercial section of South African Embassy in Tehran and the staff paid a two-hour visit to Iran Mercantile Exchange by the invitation of IME to get familiar with exchange activities to further ties and explore possible areas of cooperation in trading of commodities, sharing technology and many other issues.
According to report from international affairs department and PR of IME, South African delegation headed by and the Secretary of commercial section of the embassy paid a visit to exchange premises and got informed about the trading in IME by attending the trading floor of the exchange o take a live account of export transactions as well as to visit the brokerage trading stations during the meeting IME officials explained exchange operation, products, trading and settlement mechanism of the IME in which the two sides had common ground for furthering cooperation on for cross-trading between the commodity exchange of south Africa and IME.
It was agreed that the two sides broaden the scope of the cooperation by holding sessions between the high ranking officials to facilitate possible areas of common interest.
