TEHRAN, June 22 - Iran and Tajikistan discussed mutual cooperation in overseas farming and energy.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iranian Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian who is in Tajikistan for International Conference of Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” met with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov where they discussed bilateral energy cooperation.
During the meeting, Ardakanian said the upcoming Iran-Tajikistan joint economic commission to be held in Tehran would be a good opportunity to expand bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
He also referred to Tajik potential for overseas farming and called for boosting bilateral ties in this field.
Sirojiddin Aslov, for his part, stressed boosting bilateral cooperation in water and energy and said Tajikistan is ready for overseas farming cooperation with Iran.
“We are so optimistic to expanding bilateral ties with Iran and we are going to pave the way for it.”
