Tehran, YJC. Hashemi has met with the European parliamentary delegation to Iran.
Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Head of the Expediency Discernment
Council, met with a parliamentary delegation on Monday during their visit to Iran.
Providing comments on the sanctions imposed on Iran, Hashemi said "It is really not clear what
the West wants from Iran,”
calling the sanctions unfair.
He asserted "Iran
has never sought nuclear weapons and it will never do. But we cannot overlook the
irrevocable right of the present and future generations of Iran based on
the unsubstantiated claims of some countries.”
