Tehran, YJC. Official says in 30 years birth rate will equal that of mortality.
Head of the National Organization for Civil Registration
says that the country’s birth and marriage rates are diminishing in slope and
that in 30 years, birth and mortality rates will match each other, Mehr News
Agency reports.
Mohammad Nazemi Ardakani said "The Registration Organization
registers 1.4 million births and 400 thousand deaths annually; as well as about
900 thousand marriages and 150 thousand divorce cases.”
He added that there are 105 boys born for each 100 girls in Iran.
