Tehran, YJC. The proposed Minister of Education has answered lawmakers’ questions in meeting with the Education Committee.

Javad Heravi, member of the Education Committee of the Majlis, pointed to the committee’s session with the proposed education minister and said "Aliasqar Fani has to do much to meet lawmakers’ concerns about the educational system.”

He added that the committee had held a meeting with the proposed minister Aliasqar Fani on Sunday evening, adding "From what I saw at the meeting, I think that the proposed minister must do more to attract the lawmaker’s trust by presenting them with a clear view of his plans and his record.”

He further pointed out that Fani has made some criticism to the previous operations of the Ministry of Education, especially with regard to the segmentation of educational grades and the disjunction of some higher education bodies from the Ministry of Education.

Heravi added that the proposed minister had presented his plans on educational justice, fundamental change case, and a number of other concerns.

"Because some officials and centers of the Education Ministry have done rather unsuccessfully during his time as the acting minister, Fani must do much to make the lawmakers trust him,” Heravi asserted.
