Majlis to evaluate Geneva talks

Tehran, YJC. Lawmaker says that the Iranian parliament will evaluate the Iranian nuclear negotiators’ performance once they return from the Geneva session.

Mohammad Hassan Asafari, Member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis in interview with ICANA pointed to the highly critical status of the current nuclear talks and said "These talks will have considerable effects on domestic and international equations.”

The Arak and Komeijan representative to the Majlis stating that the parliament will closely follow the Iran-5+1 talks, added "Investigation of the diplomatic system is one of the duties of the Majlis Committee for National Security and Foreign Policy.”

He also pointed out that in its session on Sunday, the committee will address the progress of the nuclear talks.

Asafari further said that a representative of the negotiation team will be invited to the committee session on Sunday, although the identity of that person is not yet decided.

Iran’s negotiations with the Six Powers on its nuclear case are currently held at Geneva and will be continued tomorrow as well.
