TEHRAN, June 06 - The defeat of terrorist groups in the Middle East has put the Zionist regime of Israel in a state of passiveness that would lead to destruction, Iran’s Army said in a statement ahead of the International Quds Day.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The statement, released on Wednesday, highlighted the passivity and isolation that the Israeli regime has been facing after the fall of terrorist groups in the region.
The new crimes have put the Israeli regime on the road to fall and destruction, the statement said, adding that the world will, by God’s grace, witness collapse of this criminal regime.
Hailing the International Quds Day as an opportunity for the world Muslims to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, the statement denounced the muted response from leaders of certain regional Arab countries to the US’s brazen move to relocate its Israel embassy to al-Quds (Jerusalem) and also their treasonable act of normalizing ties with the Zionist regime.
Millions of people in Iran as well as other countries in the world are going to hold rallies on Friday to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people and the cause of Palestine.
The event's overarching theme is the support for the Palestinians and fierce denunciation of Israel.
The day is considered as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
