Tehran, YJC. IRGC aerospace has corrected a recent misrepresentation of the head of the army branch by asserting that its missiles have a maximum range of 2,000 and not 12,000 kilometers.

As a faulty representation of a statement by the commander of the Aerospace Forces of the IRGC stirred quite a lot of talk in the press, the office of public relations of the Aerospace in a statement announced that some media have mistakenly used the phrase ‘air equipment with 12,000 km range’ while quoting the commander of the IRGC Aerospace forces. The correct words go "Brigadier General Hajizadeh pointing to the IRGC Aerospace force’s abilities said ‘The range of our long-range missiles is currently 2,000 kilometers and the reason for that is that our enemies are in the vicinity and, let me say it more conveniently, it is not worth it to spend on more expensive weapons for them.’”

The public relations office of the IRGC Aerospace has asked the media to publish the correction.
