TEHRAN, YJC. Majlis lawmakers have appointed Mohammad Hassan Nami as Iran's next Minister of Information and Communications Technology.
Majlis meeting was held Tuesday morning to assess Nami's competence for the Ministery.
After hearing pros and cons, the lawmakers appointed Mohammad Hassan Nami with 177 yeses out of 243 votes as Iran's Minister of Information and Communication Technology.
Previously Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had removed Taghipour from the Ministry and made Nikzad, Minister of Roads and Civil Development, as its manager, which the Mjles declared as against the law. Later on Ahmadinejad proposed Nami as minister.
