Tehran, YJC. The new Oil Ministry has made its first contract with Iraq in technical education and supervision.
The
11th administration’s policy in oil is said to focus on bringing
back big international oil and gas companies to the Iranian oil industry. But Bijan
Zanganeh made his first contract as the new oil minister with Iraq.
The
contract was made by Hamidreza Golpaygani, CEO of the National Iranian Drilling
Company, and Ahmed Batwash, Vice Chancellor of the Iraqi Drilling Company.
The terms of the contract cover
agreements in educational services and international certificates to be given
by Iran to the Iraqi oil industry staff.
The areas of education will include
drilling operations, electrical engineering, mechanics, and fluids.
The contract also includes agreement
on supervision over in-field operational activities.
Providing comments on Iran’s vast
drilling area, covering more than 10 provinces as well as the Persian Gulf,
Golpaygani said "Such a vast operational area well indicates the importance of our
technical drilling operations to the country’s oil industry.”
