Tehran, YJC. Official says agreements are made with Egypt and Bahrain in order to reopen civil aviation lines.
Iranian aviation officials have met with Egyptian
and Bahraini counterparts in the sidelines of the ICAO meeting in Canada.
Hamidreza Pahlavani said "In these meetings the
ways to improve cooperation in civil aviation and reopen flight paths with the
countries were discussed.”
"Also agreements were made to reopen the direct
Tehran-Cairo and Tehran-Manama flight paths,” he added.
Pahlavani stated that the Egyptian and Bahraini
officials have welcomed the reopening of the flight paths and added that practical
measures will take place once various aspects of the issue are analyzed
carefully and the countries announce their decisions.
The Head of the Aviation Organization of Iran stressed
the need to expand cooperation in civil aviation with other countries and
expressed hopes that actions will be taken to improve Iran’s international
aviation.
