French Police bullet sends Iranian journalist in to coma

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) –  In the wake of police violence in Paris over the anti-government demonstration on Tuesday, IRIB News Agency’ cameraman Tohidian was severely injured, al-Alam reported.

Police shot him in his head with plastic bullet.
The Iranian journalist went into a coma because of brain hemorrhage in Orbital hospital of Paris.

Also, another correspondent of the very news agency Shahsavar Hosseini was poisoned of toxic gases the French Police used against protesters.

He was also hospitalized.

The French security forces prevent any video or photo to be taken from the Iranian hospitalized journalists.

Some 20,000 demonstrators, including railway workers, retirees, civil servants, and students, joined trade union protests on May Day in Paris to defend public services and denounce Macron’s economic reforms, according to authorities.
Under a union campaign to foil the reforms, rail workers launched three months of nationwide train strikes last month. The strikes mark the biggest industrial action against the president since he took office last year.
The government intends to cut rail workers’ special employment rights so that new hires would not have jobs for life or special retirement perks.
