TEHRAN, May 1 - Iran's sponge production jumped by 47% in March comparing to similar period in the year before.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) – Iran produced 2.130 million tons of sponge iron in March showing 47.2% rise comparing to similar period in 2017.
Sponge iron production surged by 15.1 percent across the world in March reaching 6.970 million tons in March 2018 from 6.050 million tons in March 2017.
The UAE, South Africa, Mexico and Venezuela have decreased output.
