Tehran, YJC. IRGC official has said that if the US attacks Iran, it will suffer a casualty of 30 thousand the first day.

Mohammadhossein Saffar Harandi, consultant to the IRGC commander, in a meeting with the Basij members of Varamin stressed that the US does not have the power for a new war, adding "The US must know that on the first day of its attack, it will be left with 30 thousand dead soldiers.”

Harandi added "At the time of the Iran-Iraq war when it intended to reach Tehran in 6 days, and had done correct calculations for victory, what was it that disturbed the equation and laid waste the enemy’s plans?”
"The enemy made a mistake in regard to the cultural and ideological factors in our society; the influence of the leader was overlooked,” he pointed out.

Stressing his point that the US will greatly suffer if attacking Iran, Harandi said "So far more than 5 thousand US forces have been killed in Iraq, that’s why the US does not have the power for a new war.”
