TEHRAN, April 24 - Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali shamkhani said in case the US withdraws from Iran’s nuclear deal, pulling out of NPT would be Iran’s possible option.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) – He stressed the Islamic Republic of Iran has the required capabilities and will put surprising moves on agenda for the other side if it pulls out of the nuclear deal.
He made the remarks before travelling to the Russian City of Sochi.
As to US President’s actions about the nuclear deal, he said, “Unfortunately from the first day of implementing commitments, the other side has resorted to various types of obstructions. Of course based on the NPT, traditional members have the right to easily withdraw from the treaty in case they feel their national interests are not intertwined with continuing the current situation and this is a possible option for the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
