TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the announcement, Ahsanullah Abu al-Hashem from Bangladesh, Mostafa Esfehanian from Iran, Mohammad Riyad al-Khaja from Syria, Musa Ahmed Aala from Mauritania, Muhammad Rashad Abdul Sami Aziz from Egypt, Aqil Khalil al-Batlat from Iraq and Muhammad Ayyub from Pakistan are the finalists in this category.
The final round is slated to begin at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) in Tehran in a few hours.
More than 250 Quran activists from 84 countries have attended the competition, which is being held in different categories in five sections, including those for men, women, and the visually-impaired.
The contest will go on until Tuesday and winners in different categories will be announced and awarded at the closing ceremony on Wednesday.
The Quranic event is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the aim of promoting Quranic activities and enhancing unity among Muslims.
