TEHRAN, April 23 - Supporting Daesh, US has created crises in a large part of southern Asia and paved the way for killing and displacing thousands of people, Iran's Army Forces Commander-in-Chief said
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Delivering an inauguration speech in Indian Ocean Naval Symposium held in Tehran, Brigadier General Mohammad Bagheri said that US is disrupting the world tranquility by bullying and sending troops to different everywhere.
"With its support of Daesh, US has created turmoil in a large part of West Asia and set the ground for killing and displacing [people]", General Bagheri Said.
The Commander pointed out to the US and its allies' recent attacks to Syria, calling it as illegal, went on “US has pave the way for crises, wars and arms race by sending weapons to the different parts of the region including Saudi Arabia”.
The naval symposium began on Monday morning with high-ranking military officials and navy commanders from 35 countries in attendance
During the conference, Iran officially assumes presidency of the symposium for two years.
The IONS is a voluntary initiative that seeks to increase maritime co-operation among navies of the littoral states of the Indian Ocean Region by providing an open and inclusive forum for discussion of regionally relevant maritime issues.
There are 32 Navies of the IONS - 23 members and 9 observers.
