TEHRAN, April 18 - Iran welcomed African Union’s (AU) position to recent developments in Syria.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The AU in statement condemned use of chemical weapons and stressed close investigation of evidence by independent sources and finding a political solution to bring an end to Syrian crisis.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said no doubt that's taking an independent position by the African Union to Syrian developments shows true and comprehensive perception of this union about international developments.
This statement indicates that use of chemical weapons is how much condemned by informed actors of the international community, he said.
On the other hand it shows that these actors believe that ending the Syrian war is possible only through political talks.
