Tehran, YJC. Rouhani has addressed his trip to the US, nuclear talks, Syria, and Iran-US relations in interview with NBC.
On Wednesday evening, President Hassan Rouhani appeared in
an interview with NBC on the presidential premises, the presidential website
reports.
In answer to a question regarding the chances of a meeting
with US president Barack Obama during his trip to New York, Rouhani said "Meeting
with Obama is not on my trip schedule, but everything is possible in the political
world, depending on the situations that spring up, though.”
Providing comments on his to-be trip to the US, he added "At
the UN General Assembly, we would like to clarify our stances on foreign
policy, international issues including the nuclear case, and the regional
affairs. We expect the world to hear us well.”
Pointing to the recent elections in Iran, Rouhani asserted "My
voice is in fact the voice of the Iranian nation. In this election the Iranian nation
chose moderation and balance. In foreign policy, moderation and balance means
constructive interaction with the countries of the world.
