TEHRAN, April 16 - Madeleine Albright, the former US secretary of state under President Bill Clinton, has raised her concerns about President Donald Trump’s "undemocratic instincts."

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “I'm not calling him a fascist. I'm saying that he is a president that has undemocratic instincts that trouble me a lot,” Albright told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria on Sunday.

Albright said Trump is a president that thinks he is above the law and exacerbates the differences of American society.

She further characterized Trump as “someone who plays the crowds in a way that I find dangerous in terms of propaganda.”

She said that the president has created a situation where he identifies with one group of people without recognizing the individual rights of other people.

Albright has been a vocal critic of Trump and had said that Trump is “the most undemocratic president” in America’s modern history.

The first woman to be the US secretary of state, has recently published a new book, Fascism: A Warning, where she has warned about the possibility of a reemergence of fascism.

Madeleine Albright, whose parents were of Jewish descent but later converted to Catholicism, fled Czechoslovakia as a toddler after Hitler’s invasion in 1939. Her family returned following the war, but once again fled to the US in the wake of a Communist coup in the former Czechoslovakia in 1948.
