Tehran, YJC. Commander of the IRGC says that the Muslim community of the area is fully capable to neutralize Western plans to rule the region.
Speaking at the annual IRGC commanders meeting on Wednesday,
Major General Mohammadali Jafari said "Today, the vigilant Muslims of the area,
by creating asymmetric battlefields, have been able to prevent the domineering
system, headed by the US, taking control over administrative, political,
military, economic, and intelligence capacities.”
Himself a member of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Jafari pointed to the pivotal role of the IRGC under recent regional developments and said "In the promising atmosphere which has come to exist as a result of the progressive power of the Islamic Revolution, the IRGC still pursues its responsibility by taking inspiration from the lofty ideals of Imam Khomeini and the guidelines of the Supreme Leader.”
He pointed to the mission of the IRGC as "This mission expresses the IRGC’s revolutionary commitment in its non-conservative defense of the revolution and the aspirations of Imam Khomeini.”
"With the help of God, today the IRGC has set its deterrence and indirect as well as direct defense as vast as the entire expanse of the enemy’s interests. Any spot can fall within the IRGC’s deterrence and that of the global Islamic mobilization,” Jafari asserted.
