TEHRAN, April 09 - A young humpback whale was stranded on the beach at Mar Del Plata on Saturday and rescue workers labored through the night and into Sunday attempting to return the mammal to the sea.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to Marine Biologist Alejandro Saubidet, “it weighs about 10 tonnes, that is why it is a problem to return it to the sea. Apparently it is coming out to die, we have returned it to the sea and it comes back.”
Many experts believe the whale may have beached itself to die, and that it might have a serious illness which caused the behavior.
