TEHRAN, April 04 - Austrian Oberbank has not stopped cooperation with Iran’s financial system, said Director General of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Public Relations Mohammad-Ali Karimi.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “As Austrian ambassador to Tehran has announced, Oberbank has not have any change of policy in financial communications with Iran and the cooperation is still underway,” he said.
He said the bank has been one of the banks signed agreement with Iran after the nuclear deal, adding, the agreement was signed with 14 Iranian banks last year and is worth 1 billion euro to fund infrastructure and production projects in Iran.
He said Oberbank CEO in an interview had referred to US pressures to end cooperation with Iranian banks and this interview has led to rumors.
He noted based on the agreement, Iran has introduced projects to the bank and its finance is underway. “There is no problem.”
