Tehran, YJC. Head of Quds Corps says that it will be a step toward Iran’s interests if democracy is established anywhere in the Islamic world.

Commander of the Quds Corps Major General Qasem Soleimani speaking to the Press Outlook conference said "It will be in the interest of Iran and to the detriment of the West if democracy is established anywhere in the Islamic world.”

He considered the heightening of enmities against the region as a result of the growing influence of the Islamic republic of Iran and said "Methods such as creating ethnic clashes, the erosion of the resistance front in Lebanon, strengthening the Shiite-Sunni opposition, and the growth of extremist, Takfiri groups against the Islamic Republic follow a common goal, that is to weaken the status of Iran in the region.

He added that the wisdom of the Supreme Leader is the backbone of the strong Iran in regional equations and said "We must truly define the logic of the Islamic Republic for the public opinion.”

The commander of the Quds Corps stressed "The real problem with Syria according to the West and Zionism is not extremism, the rule of a minority Alavi, or democracy, but the reality is that the West knows that the strength of the regional resistance undoubtedly owes to Syria.”

Major General Soleimani said that the resistance serves the interests of Iran and added "The constant victories of the Syrian Army in the past one year have brought on the recent barrage on Syria from all sides.”

He pointed out that the resistance front, including the Lebanese Hezbollah is the real source of benefit to Iran in the present and future and said "The anti-US, anti-Zionism, and anti-extremism energy of the regional nations is being released, a fact which boosts Iran’s status day by day.”
