Tehran, YJC. Ayatollah Khamenei has ordered Shamkhani to the Supreme Council of National Security and Said Jalili to the Expediency council.
Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has appointed Ali Shamkhani his representative
at the Supreme National Security Council for three years.
The assignment is issued based on the 176th
article of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Shamkhani’s predecessor was Rouhani up to the recent
elections.
Ayatollah Khamenei also ordered Said Jalili to the
Expediency Discernment Council.
Pointing to Jalili’s experience in the Supreme National
Security Council in his letter, the Supreme Leader deemed him fit to hold a
position at the Expediency Council.
