TEHRAN, March 28 - Iran’s Deputy FM heading a delegation attended Afghanistan Peace Conference held in Uzbekistan’s capital city of Tashkent.

TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Sayyed Abbas Araghchi said that war in Afghanistan is the result of US troops in the Asian country, stating that military approach toward Afghanistan crisis has failed.

US troops’ leaving Afghanistan is the beginning of a move peace in the country, Araghchi added.

The Iranian diplomat, welcoming the recent Afghan President's initiative to invite the armed opposition to take part in peace talks, called the move a positive step, and called on the parties involved in the conflict to engage in dialogue in order to find a political solution to the problems of this country are invited.

Araghchi also announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to assist the Afghan government in promoting the peace process in the country.

The Tashkent Conference entitled "Peace in Afghanistan, Security Cooperation and Regional Relations" was held on Tuesday, April 7 in the Uzbek capital with the presidents of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan as well as representatives of 25 countries and international organizations attended.
