TEHRAN, March 23 - Iran is producing 98 percent of its required pharmaceuticals, said Managing Director of an Iranian pharmaceutical company Ali Mehramizi.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “We are producing over 120 types of medicine not only distributed in the local market but also sent to other countries,” he said.
“The medicine are mostly used in Iran, however 8 countries including Russia and Central Asian ones are our clients.”
Iran built 18 new pharmaceuticals last year, 4 of them were produced for the first time, he said.
He noted that Iran is going to make 15 other pharmaceuticals this year in a bid to prevent their imports.
