Tehran, YJC. Iran's Foreign Minister has discussed regional issues in trip to Iraq .
Mohammad Javad Zarif who has visited Iraq in a meeting with the members of the National Alliance of Iraq pointed to extremist propaganda in the region and said " The Takfiri and the extremist are threats to the region.
" Zarif who was meeting Ebrahim Jafari added "There is ample information that the Takfiri have chemical arms in their possession and that is a threat to the region."
He added " We de not stand a regional war on the pretext of chemical weapons , a war whose victims will be the people of Syria and then the region and even these of the centres that seek war. "
Zarif pointed out that the devastating war in Syria is a pity to the Islamic world and stressed the need for all sides to make it to the negotiation table, adding " For our part we encouraged all those with whom we were in contact to progress toward negotiation . But it is to regret that some pro-war countries discouraged their fans from negotiations . "
Ebrahim Jafari in turn said " when Iran was put under sanctions Iraq severely criticized them and we told the West that the sanctions will influence the region , and they have done influence our country. "
He also pointed to ongoing Syrian issues and said " Although so far no organization has verified who has used chemicals Syria is being threatened by military attacks whereas whoever might have used them it is condemnable . we do condemn it, but as long as it is not clear who has used them Syria must not be attacked . "
