TEHRAN, March 17 - Iranian male and female Paralympic athletes have put a convincing end to their campaign at the 10th edition of Fazza International Athletics Championships – Dubai 2018 World Para Athletics Grand Prix in the United Arab Emirates, and received 23 medals, including six gold ones, at the prestigious event.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - On Friday and the final day of the competitions at the Dubai Club for the Disabled in Dubai, Iranian pitcher Abdolreza Jokar threw 19.74 meters in the men’s javelin throw F53/54 section, and was awarded the gold medal.
Iran’s Ali Beit Sayyah vied in the men's shot put F41 category competitions, and claimed the bronze medal with a throw of 11.17 meters.
Additionally, Iranian Paralympic discus thrower Ali Shamshiri stood atop the podium with a throw of 44.30 meters at the end of men’s discus throw F12 category contests.
Mehdi Oulad registered a throw of 38.60 meters in the men’s F11 division competitions, and snatched the silver medal.
The 10th edition of Fazza International Athletics Championships – Dubai 2018 World Para Athletics Grand Prix started on March 13 and ran through March 16.
