TEHRAN, March 14 - Iran has managed to produce copper using tank bioleaching system for the first time in the country.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The method was used by Iranian experts for 50 tons of cathode copper.
The project was accomplished by Iran’s Middle East Mines and Mineral (MIDHCO) and Iran’s Pasargad Bank.
MIDHCO CEO Ali-Asghar Pourmand said Iran would try to implement the know-how in other countries.
Accomplishing the project does not mean its end but it is just a start, he said.
Using the system, melting furnace are no longer needed which this would considerably lower environmental pollution and save water and energy.
