TEHRAN, March 5 - Iranian Minister of Economy Masoud Karbasian who is in Moscow met with his Russian counterpart Maksim Stanislavovich Oreshkin, discussing ways to expand bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - During the meeting, Karbasian said developing economic cooperation in terms of quality and quantity between provinces of the two sides, especially those neighboring Caspian Sea is a ‘strategic policy’ to increase the volume of bilateral exchanges.
Karbasian also said Iran and Russia are two big countries with strategic role and position in international equations.
He highlighted significance of Caspian Sea, saying Iran is after using potential of Caspian Sea neighbors to develop economic relations of Iran and Russia.
Oreshkin, for his part, said, “We are following a strategic approach towards political and economic ties with Iran.”
He also expressed support for Karbasian’s suggestion for provincial cooperation of the two sides.
