TEHRAN, March 5 - A senior Iranian official said European policy on giving concession to US means passivity towards Trump.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “European policy to give concession to the US to make the country stay in the nuclear deal is false and it means passivity and giving up to Trump’s psychological war,” said Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani in a meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian here in Tehran.
Shakhani also welcomed boosting bilateral political and economic relations between Iran and France, stressed removing obstacles to bilateral banking ties between Tehran and Paris.
He said failure of the nuclear deal would lead to failure of credibility of international agreements and logic of talks to settle global issues.
Shamkhani noted boosting Iran’s defense capability and its missile power is an unavoidable necessity for deterrence policy.
Le Drian, for his part, said the landscape of political and economic ties between Iran and France is quite brilliant under the nuclear deal.
He also stressed all sides of the deal should live up to their commitments to the deal, saying US positions to the agreement would cause fragility of the deal and France is against the positions.
Le Drian noted a new mechanism would be announced soon to improve banking ties between Iran and France.
