Tehran, YJC. Zarif has said that attempts are being made to please the president to make his annual attendance at the UN.
TadbirvaOmid reports the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammadjavad Zarif saying in answer to a question regarding the probability of Rouhani's visit to New York "Dr. Rouhani is very choosy. We are trying to make him agree. The trip will be a success. Our presence at the United Nations can be influential in improving the current situations.”
The Foreign Minister who has participated in a radio program also pointed to the Sultan of Oman’s visit to Tehran as Rouhani's first foreign guest and said "For his old relations with Iran, the Sultan of Oman was willing to be the president’s first foreign guest. The trip had very good outcomes and there were discussions on commercial relations, oil, and gas.”
"We hope we would be able to improve the situations toward better living conditions for people. The Iranian people deserve more than this,” he asserted.
