IME trade rises by 49% late February

TEHRAN, March 3 - Approximately 594,541 MT of commodities worth over $338.3 million were traded in Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) over last week of January, the trade volume and value experienced a 31% and 49%, respectively.

IME trade rises by 49% late FebruaryTEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, last week, on the domestic and export metal and mineral trading floor of IME, 298,677 MT of various products worth close to $183.7 million were traded.

On this trading floor, 55,000 MT of iron ore, 226,805 MT of steel products, 15,490 MT of copper, 1,000 MT of cement, 120 MT of aluminum, 190 MT of molybdenum concentrates, 12 MT of precious metal concentrates, 50 CERATO made cars, as well as 60 MT of zinc ingot were traded.

The report declares that on domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floors of IME, 236,285 MT of different commodities with the total value of $137 million were traded.

On this trading floor, more than 41,980 MT of bitumen, 43,776 MT of polymer products, 90,205 MT of VB feed stock as well as 28,150 MT of lube-cut oil, 20,936 MT of chemical products, 6,400 MT of sulfur, 2,150 MT of insulation, 1,700 MT of slaps waxes, 20 MT of argon and 966 MT of heavy paraffin wax were traded.

Moreover, on the agricultural trading floor of IME, 59,004 MT of various commodities worth over $15 million were traded. On this trading floor, 56,800 MT of wheat, 415,500 day old chicks, 939 MT of maize, 100 MT of crude vegetable oil as well as 50 MT of sugar were traded by customers.

It is worth noting that during this week; the side market of IME witnessed trading of 300 MT of lactic butter and 275 MT of polyester threads grades A, B and C.
