TEHRAN, February 28 - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif called for establishing a mutual energy committee between Iran and Bulgaria.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club(YJC) - In a meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in Sofia, Zarif said, “We regard Bulgaria as our gate to Europe.”
He said the two countries can increase the volume of mutual trade exchanges to over $1 billion in future.
He then said Iran and Bulgaria can work in transit, oil, gas, infrastructure, technical and engineering services.
Zarif also called for establishing a joint fund to support private sectors of the two sides.
“We can be your gate to the region and Iran’s neighbors.”
Boyko Borissov, for his part, said, Bulgarian companies are ready to work with Iran in construction, auto manufacturing, subway, highway, building tunnels and bridges and railroads.
