Tehran, YJC. Arvand Free Zone Deputy for Economy and Investment says that Iran’s export to Iraq through the area has nearly doubled.

Free Zone Deputy for Economy and Investment Seyyed Ali Mousavi said in an
interview with Mehr News Agency "Since the beginning of the year until August,
worth $220 billion goods were exported to Iraq from the Arvand Free Zone and
via the Shalamcheh Border.”
"The
amount of trade in the same period last year was $111 billion,” he maintained.
Mousavi
further said "More than 60 percent of the export of Khuzestan Province to Iraq is
carried out in the Arvand Free Zone via the Shalamcheh border.”
