Tehran, YJC. Chairman of National Security Committee has said that going the way of the US has ended in Egypt’s detriment.

Speaking in today’s session of the Majils, Alaeddin Borouherdi said "The Egyptian experience has once more proved the Islamic Revolution’s unfailing ideology regarding the untrustworthiness of the US,” Mehr reports.

He added "If from its first day, the Egyptian revolution had used the experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the guidelines of the Supreme Leader instead of fairing on the path of the US and its regional allies, today Mubarak and Morsi would not have changed places and such a tremendous harm would not have addressed Egypt.”

The Boroujerd representative to the Majlis asserted "Let the US congressmen know that sanctions have no effect on the Iranian nation. It is a pity that the big lie about the Islamic Republic of Iran’s progress towards building nuclear weapons is repeated so much that it has become part of the US congressmen’s consciousness.”

"The Islamic Republic of Iran’s policy on the matter is completely clear and square. We are devout opposers of nuclear weapons and such weapons do not occupy any place in the Islamic Republic’s defense strategy,” he exclaimed.

He added "The Minister of Foreign Affairs is expected in the nuclear talks to strongly defend Iran’s national interests. Our red line is nuclear arms, but Iran carries on its peaceful nuclear activities in keeping with its needs.”
