TEHRAN, February 21 - Iran stands 12th in the world in terms of copper production, said Head of Iran’s National Copper Company Ahmad Moradalizadeh.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - He said the country stands 8th in the world in terms of copper reservoirs.
According to the official, Iran’s copper production capacity would reach 300 thousand tons from this year (started on March 21, 2017).
Iran is exploiting copper from three mines of Miduk, Sarcheshmeh and Sungun.
Iran would sell nearly $1.900 billion of copper this year, $1.250 billion of which is from exports, he noted.
