Tehran, YJC. Ahmad Khorram says that the Rouhani administration has the power to turn the trend of the nuclear talks in favor of Iran.

Speaking in an interview with Omidtadbirvaomid, the Minister of Roads of the Khatami administration said in answer to a question regarding his views on the 11th administration’s abilities in coping with sanctions "Someone with interactive abilities is chosen for the Foreign Ministry. He can turn the strategy for increasing sanctions which the US has adopted, and which has had a positive slope in the past 8 years and has ever grown stronger, into a strategy to reduce them.”

Khorram added "The Minister of Foreign Affairs is the right person for negotiations, interactions with the world, and pursing the issue of the talks. It has been ten years we have been negotiating but nothing has happened, and if something has happened it has not been in the country’s interest.”

"Negotiation means making deals on advantages. You have to give advantage to take advantage. You cannot sit at the negotiation table for ten years, neither giving nor taking advantages, and watching situations grow graver, more complicated, and crisis-prone. I think that the president and the foreign minister can change the deal and turn the positive slope into a negative one. Of course no one expects the issue to be solved in two years, but the slope can grow smaller,” he continued.
