TEHRAN, February 19 - Spokesman of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization Reza Jafar-Zadeh said a French delegation is arriving in Iran Monday night to investigate various aspects of Sunday plane crash in Iran.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Canada, as a country which has built engine of ATR 72 planes, has expressed readiness to help Iran, he said.
The French delegation includes 7 experts, he said.
Jafar-Zadeh added, “Iran has not held talks with Canada so far about the issue, but they told us that they will help us if necessary.”
The Sunday crash of an Iranian ATR 72 passenger plane in central Iran during a flight from Tehran to the southwestern city of Yasuj, which claimed the lives of 66 people, has once again brought into the limelight the issue of unilateral US sanctions and their deleterious effect on Iran's transportation sector, especially the country’s civil aviation fleet.
