Tehran, YJC. A high-ranking IRGC commander has said that to stop enriching uranium will not affect the sanctions.

Said Qasemi, an Iran-Iraq war commander pointed to an occasion during the war and concluded that accepting the enemy’s demand will only them him more assertive.

"It is a lie that they say if you stop the nuclear energy and give your signature the sanctions will be lifted and dollar will become cheaper, like the experience of the Mersad operations,” he asserted.

He added "The Mersad operations, which the Monafeqin group waged on Iran four days after the 598 UN resolution shows that if we back down, the enemy will get more assertive.”

"At that time we accepted the 598th resolution, but Iraq helped the Monafeqin into a big attack on us,” he continued.
