TEHRAN, February 17- Iranian Presidnet Hassan Rouhani said Tehran-New Delhi ties are not against any country.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iranian and Indian officials are resolute to expand bilateral ties between the two countries, he said in a meeting with Indian Vice President Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi.
“Our relations not only are not against any country, but also they are in line with serving interests of the two nations and the region,” he said.
He said Iranian and Indian parliaments can boost mutual cooperation to pave the way for strengthening bilateral ties.
Venkaiah Naidu, for his part, said Indian nation and government supports boosting bilateral ties between Iran and New Delhi and India has used its utmost power for the goal.
He said developing Iran-India relations are necessary to battle terrorism. “All countries should confront terrorism, because terrorism hinders progress, development and welfare of countries.”
