Minister visits country’s oil and gas capital in first trip

Tehran, YJC. The Oil Minister of Iran has visited the South Pars in Asaluyeh.

Mehr News Agency reports that Bijan Namdar Zanganeh visited Asaluyeh on Thursday morning accompanied by a number of oil ministry officials.

In his one-day trip, Zanganeh will visit the South Pars shared field projects under construction, after which the progress made so far will be reported.

The evaluation of the latest status of the expansion projects in South Pars shared fields and direct oversight of the executive affairs of the projects are among the objectives mentioned for the minister’s visit.

In the sidelines of his first session as the eleventh administration oil minister Zanganeh had said that he would use all his power and expertise to bring the South Pars project to its conclusion as soon as possible.

Currently phases 1 to 10 of the shared field with a capacity to produce 280 million cubic meters gas per day as well as quantities of other gas products are operational, while phases 11 to 24 are being simultaneously constructed and expanded.

The minister’s first item on agenda was an aerial inspection of the second site of the Pars special zone in Kangan county.
